Strong focus on AI
As part of Dynamics 365 2024 Release Wave 2, Microsoft introduced Business Central in October 25.
This update marks a milestone with a strong and clear commitment to integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into Business Central. With a focus on delivering smarter and more automated solutions, Microsoft has integrated AI tools and capabilities that help businesses make better decisions, optimize work processes and increase efficiency. Business Central 25 thus represents a step forward towards making business management more intelligent, automated and future-proof.
With Business Central 26, Microsoft builds on this development and expands the AI functionalities in their business application.
2025 Release Wave 1
Business Central 26 is launched as part of the Dynamics 365 2025 Release Wave 1 upgrade wave, which is rolled out in the period from April to October 2025.

Further improvements
In addition to the new and improved AI capabilities, which remain a key focus area for Microsoft, the upcoming upgrade will also add a number of other new features to Business Central that enhance user experience and efficiency.
