Overview of Power BI 2022 Release Wave 1
Microsoft's business intelligence solution Power BI helps companies support and operate a data culture where all employees across departments and at all levels of the companies are able to make informed decisions based on data at any scale and from any data source.
To enable companies to operate a culture based on data insight, Microsoft is committed to improving three already familiar areas of Power BI.
Strengthen the individual employee with Power BI
With the updates that come with Power Platform 2022 Release Wave 1, it will be easier than ever for all company employees to work with data via already familiar Microsoft Office-like experiences and AI-infused insights across Power BI Desktop, the Power BI service and the Power BI mobile applications.
Microsoft's focus is still on providing the best BI functionality on the market, developed for business analysts and end users. Power BI will integrate closer with Microsoft 365 to enable all business users to seamlessly analyze enterprise data. Microsoft also provides with Power BI 2022 Release Wave 1 one-click on-ramps for analysis of tables with data from any daya source as well as functionality that complements Microsoft Excel. Also, the investment in the user experience for composing reports is enhanced by handling images and measurements and utilizing natural language input where possible. And most importantly, a number of improvements are introduced based on feedback and ideas from users in the Power BI community.

In Power BI 2022 Release Wave 1, Power BI is integrated with Microsoft 365, insight is given to Microsoft Teams, where the team can work closely in key areas such as meetings, channels and chats. Also, the ability for Power BI users to locate data and share it quickly improves, both within and outside the enterprise. It will also be possible to track the company's goals on a company scale through 'Goals' and build stories around data through effective storytelling.
